Recycle!

When I do these Daily Greening posts, I try to remember the famous words of Leonardo DaVinci, "Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication." But this eloquence in language sometimes is easier to grasp as the KISS principle: keep it simple, stupid. Today, I went back to my roots with the environmental movement. I remember my life as an immigrant from the Emerald Isle in the 1980's and collecting cans to recycle for some fun money. Yes, today's tip is simply...
RECYCLE!

Currently, eighty-four percent of a typical household's waste can be recycled. This waste takes on many aspects and just shows the way recycling has increased in recent years. Food scraps, yard waste, paper, cardboard, cans, bottle, motor oil and so much more can all be recycled. We can recycle so much today but we decide, or most commonly forget to. So, the tip for today is take a look at your garbage can and see if you are fundamentally sound. Are you recycling all you can? Are you filling up landfills unnecessarily? So, go back to basics and make sure you are taking advantage of all recycling has to offer.
